Job Type: Full and part time positions available

Position Overview:
The HGV Driver will be responsible for transporting construction materials, equipment, and machinery to and from construction sites. This role requires strict adherence to safety regulations, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage routes efficiently.

Requirements:
· Candidates must possess a current, endorsement-free HGV CE licence, digital tachograph card and current CPC certification.
· Previous Plant/Construction experience preferable
· A positive work attitude, with a high degree of commitment.
· Must be punctual and an excellent timekeeper.
· Must be flexible regarding work hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) to transport materials and equipment to designated sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness.
• Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times, destinations, and any issues encountered.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
• Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or delays promptly to the dispatcher or supervisor.
• Assist with loading and unloading of materials as required.
• Keep the vehicle clean and in good working condition.
• Collaborate with site managers and other personnel to ensure smooth delivery operations.
