supporting divisions within the group such as Crane Hire, Plant Hire,
Construction & Demolition, Steelworks, Haulage, and Waste Recycling.
As part of our on-going growth, we are now looking to expand
our team and have an exciting opportunity at our Steel Fabrication workshop in
Broomfield, Co. Monaghan for an experienced and enthusiastic Projects Floor
Manager.
Qualifications and Skills:·
· Proven
experience as a Projects Floor Manager preferable
· Knowledge
of Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Procedures
· Excellent
project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and execute
complex projects. · Excellent
supervisory skills
· Effective
communication and leadership abilities
· Strong
organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
· Exceptional
problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail.
· Understanding
of steel fabrication methodologies, industry-specific standards, codes and
regulations to ensure that all project activities are compliant beneficial
· Ability
to read and interpret drawings advantageous

Key Responsibilities:
Working
under the guidance of the Workshop Manager, the role will involve supervising,
controlling and reporting on the activities in the projects floor in the
workshop.
- Liaising
with Workshop Manager to ensure staff are actively employed in appropriate
tasks to ensure the workshop functions at optimum capacity.
- Ensuring
the production schedule is met and standards of quality are met.
- Carry
out daily team briefings to allocate work to teams.
- Coordinate
the work of staff to align to the production schedule.
- Implement
and oversee records for quality and production monitoring under the direction
of the Workshop Manager.
- Give
a morning update to the Production Manager on the status of production and
people.
- Produce
reports for review by the production manager for weekly production meetings.

Monitor
time keeping, absence and breaks.

Ensure
design amendments are identified and reported to the Production Manager.

Monitor
time recording of individual processes to provide accurate costing information.

Act
as technical advisor regarding fabrication processes as and when required.

Manage
risks and issues and devise contingency plans.

Monitor
project progress and handle any issues that arise.

Ensure
that the site team carry out the works in accordance with the specification and
programme.

Ensure
that accurate recording and reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses
occurs timeously and reports are provided to the Workshop Manager.

Ensure
PPE is maintained and worn correctly at all times.

Implement
and oversee clean as you go and waste policy.

Ensure
compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements, quality
standards and other standards as required.

Monitoring
and addressing any quality issues or deviations from project specifications
promptly.

Completing
daily administrative tasks including the monitoring of the completion of
statutory inspection and maintenance check forms.

Fostering
a collaborative work environment, promoting effective communication and
teamwork.

Display

safety practices.
