Position Overview:
The Banksman/Slinger-Signaller will be responsible for directing the movement and safe handling of cranes, vehicles, and machinery on construction sites. This role requires excellent communication skills to provide clear and accurate signals to crane operators and drivers, ensuring safe and efficient operations. 

The Banksman must have a thorough understanding of lifting techniques, weight limits, and site safety procedures to prevent accidents and damage to materials. Attention to detail, the ability to assess risks, and strict adherence to safety protocols are essential for this position. The role also involves working closely with other site personnel to maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Requirements:
· Valid Safe Pass
· Valid CSCS Slinger/Signaller
· Valid Manual Handling (Training can be provided)
· Full, Clean Driver Licence (Category C advantageous)
· Excellent timekeeping
· Candidates must be flexible regarding their work hours and willing to travel nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clearly direct vehicles and mobile plant safely at all times ensuring they are kept separate.· Minimise the amount of reversing where possible and be aware of the dangers caused when reversing.
• Interact with drivers and contractors appropriately and represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
• Use practical techniques and agreed system of signalling and hand signals to assist drivers and operatives in all manoeuvres.
• Communicate clear, correct, and safe directions to plant operators and drivers, verbally and by radio and/or industry standard hand signals.
• Be visible to drivers at all times whilst directing vehicles and plant.
• Stand in a safe position, from which to guide all vehicles/loads without being in the way.· Keep traffic/lift zone areas free of pedestrians.
• Report any issues, near misses or incidents immediately.
• Helping to load and unload any vehicles or prep lifts as and when required.
• Assist site management with any other general duties as and when required.
• Comply with all applicable safety laws, guidelines, and best practices
• Working with a banksman/crane operators and others as applicable to ensure site safety
• Wearing all Personal Protective Equipment required
