EHS Officer

EHS Officer

The role will be that of EHS Officer reporting to the EHS Manager. You will be responsible for improving EHS standards and behavioural transformation on site and within the company culture.

EHS Officer Responsibilities are:

  • On site supervision of EHS including sub-contractors & completion of the relevant site-specific paperwork
  • Conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance
  • Conducting accident and incident investigations
  • Implementation of environmental, health and safety documentation to support the Company’s integrated EHS Management System
  • Assist site management team in formulation of EHS Plans, risk assessments and method statements
  • Managing the training requirements of the business and monitor refresher training
  • Delivering Health & Safety induction programmes and toolbox talks for personnel working on site
  • Representing the company at site meetings

EHS Officer Requirements Include

  • Third level qualification in Health and Safety
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as an EHS Officer in the construction industry with a comprehensive knowledge of EHS issues
  • Thorough knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety legislation

  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, internet, e-mail


  • Experience in EHS Management Systems
  • Train the trainer qualification
